AROMASIN® (exemestane tablets) has been indicated for advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women since 1999.

  • AROMASIN is used when tamoxifen has not stopped the cancer from growing
  • Do not take AROMASIN unless you have gone through menopause
  • Do not take AROMASIN if you are pregnant
  • Do not take AROMASIN with a drug that has estrogen
How AROMASIN and tamoxifen work

What are the possible side effects of AROMASIN?

Serious side effects

  • Bone loss. AROMASIN decreases the amount of estrogen in your body which may reduce your bone mineral density (BMD) over time. This may increase your risk for bone fractures or weak and brittle bones (osteoporosis). Your doctor may check your bones during treatment with AROMASIN if you have osteoporosis or are at risk for osteoporosis.
