For Advanced Breast Cancer

Learning about Advanced Breast Cancer

It's hard to hear the news that you have advanced breast cancer. But you can help take control of your health by taking an active role in your treatment. The first step is learning about your cancer and your treatment. You can do that by talking to your doctor. And you can use the helpful links below to find out more on your own.

AROMASIN® (exemestane tablets) has been a proven treatment for advanced breast cancer in women since 1999. It is used when tamoxifen has not stopped the cancer from growing. Do not take AROMASIN unless you have gone through menopause. Do not take AROMASIN if you are pregnant. Do not take it with a drug that has estrogen.

The most common adverse events reported for advanced breast cancer were mild to moderate and included hot flashes (13%), nausea (9%), fatigue (8%), increased sweating (4%), and increased appetite (3%).
