AROMASIN and tamoxifen

AROMASIN® (exemestane tablets) and tamoxifen are adjuvant (AD-joo-vant) treatments. Adjuvant treatment for breast cancer is a treatment given after surgery, radiation or chemotherapy.

For postmenopausal women with ER+ early breast cancer who have been on tamoxifen for 2 to 3 years, switching to AROMASIN can help reduce the risk of recurrence more than staying on tamoxifen for 5 years. (No significant survival benefit was seen.)
